Enchanted Dolls by Marina Bychkova

I stumbled on this artist by accident...I love these dolls because they are beautiful in a disturbed provocative way...these dolls are all handcrafted in porcelain by mold created by a Russian girl who has been living in Canada. All of the silver and bronze work such as the shoes and headpieces are also handcrafted through molds. the skin is painted by hand....dolls go for around $25,000 USD...her work has been featured in numerous magazines such as Maxim (German & Czech), Bazaar (Russian, England), Vogue (Germany), FHM (Germany) and has shown her work at SHOWstudio in London...check her out

Andrew Zuckerman

Andrew Zuckerman is an American Photographer who has published 3 books, Creature, Bird and Wisdom...I love his work, I never get tired of looking at his amazing pieces of work.

When it Rains, When it snows.....its wellie time!

Wellies have come along way since I was a child.... Ex: A

today Wellies (aka Rainboots for the American readers) have evolved into a whole new world, which I must admit I am falling in love with...as we enter festival season (british music festivals in muddy country fields) I find myself poundering the purchase of my first pair of Wellies/rainboots in over 20 years. I am stumped with choices, to highlight some of my current top picks.....
Hunters and Joules are the best companies I have come across so far, but I have seen some cute cheaper ones for sale in Portobello Market....

Natural Pools

I love these pools/ponds...very tempting to design a home with these natural looking swimming pools which appear to be ponds but yet they are clean and warm enough for you to swim in....how beautiful and different then the Jones next door....

"Water is life-giving and the plant and microscopic life within it provides powerful self-cleansing forces. This is the purest form of water. It is cleansing and cooling and we are invigorated and calmed by it's qualities. The original Biotop™ natural pool harnesses these natural cleaning powers so we can create safe and exceptionally beautiful pools for you to relax and enjoy in your own space."

Formal Wear

Formal wear is the classic and timeless style which is associated with work and office(think yuppies of the 1980's/1990's America). Formal wear makes it difficult for us to understand the person in front of us since the look is reserved and often hides the true personalty of the person. The most commonly used colors are neutrals, black, grey, brown, beige, white and various dark colors. Fabrics that are often used are high quality and rigid. Plain fabrics, long flowing sleeved blouses in plain colors, check or stripe...never polka dots which is to casual and unprofessional. Formal wear should never mention sexuality because we must convince people with our personality and our brain never our sexuality. Skirts are never mini and must always reach the knee....on the other hand long skirts to the floor are to relaxed and look like beach wear. Heels are thick and stable for walking and working. The bag is rigid (think Hermes Kelly bag). The image we project sells us and our credibility depends on the way we dress. When you meet someone you have 8 seconds to make a good impression. The way you dress is your packaging that covers our personalty (ex. heart print/shapes are bad since it may look like you are a little girl and need to grow up) Wide shoulders have long been a symbol of power and professionalism and one can find these looks often in men's and women's suiting.
